PreNatal Multi-Nutrients contains all the vital vitamins, minerals and trace minerals needed to support every aspect of health in mum and baby, all the way from preconception through to breastfeeding. It includes antioxidants, which are important for DNA health both prior to conception, and during pregnancy. It is recommended to take a folic acid-containing supplement 3 months prior to conceiving, up to the end of the first trimester of pregnancy, to reduce the risk of neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, in an unborn baby. The supplement also includes iron in a highly absorbable and gentle from as iron aspartate. The body has a greater need for iron during pregnancy to support the growing baby, which can sometimes lead to anaemia in mum-to-be.
